Support
Where to get help with DialogForge and what to include so you get an answer on the first reply.
The support Discord is the only support channel. There is no public issue tracker and no support email.
What to include
A question with the following gets answered faster, usually on the first reply:
- The DialogForge version, from
/dialogforge version - Your Paper build, from
/version - The menu file, or the part of it that is behaving oddly
- What you expected against what you actually saw, ideally a screenshot
- Anything relevant from the console, the exact line rather than a paraphrase
Before you ask
- FAQ covers the questions that come up most often
- The console names problems specifically wherever it can: a broken menu file names the file and the key, a permission node conflict names the plugin that already owns it, an unmeasured panel character names the character itself
/dialogforge versionand/dialogforge listare the fastest way to confirm what is actually loaded before assuming a config change did not take effect
Reporting a bug
The same Discord covers bug reports. Include the same list as above. If it is specific to the panel layout, mention whether the resource pack has actually reached the client you are testing with, since that is the most common cause of a panel report that turns out to be missing artwork rather than a bug.
