Support
Where to get help with ATStaffMode and what to include so your question can be answered quickly.
Support for ATStaffMode runs through Discord. That is where questions, bug reports and feature requests are handled.
Discord
Join the support server at discord.arrowtan.cc.
Open a ticket or post in the support channel and describe what you expected to happen and what happened instead. Most issues turn out to be a config key or a permission node, and both are quick to spot once someone can see them.
What to include in a bug report
Give these five things up front and you will usually get an answer in one reply.
| Detail | How to find it |
|---|---|
| Server software and version | Run /version in game or read the first lines of the console log |
| Plugin version | Run /version ATStaffMode |
| Storage backend | The storage.type value in config.yml |
| The console error | Copy the full stack trace, not just the last line |
| Steps to reproduce | What you clicked or typed, in order |
If the problem is about a menu or a message, a screenshot helps. If it is about permissions, say which permission plugin you use and paste the group the affected player is in.
Never paste your MySQL or MongoDB credentials, or a Discord webhook URL, into a public channel. Replace them with placeholder text before sharing your config.yml.
Before you report
A few checks that resolve most reports on their own.
- Read the FAQ, which covers the questions that come up most.
- Update to 1.5.0 before reporting a config key that does nothing, then check the Config Key Audit for what changed.
- Run
/staffmode-reloadafter editing files, and check the console for a YAML parsing error. - Confirm the affected staff member actually has the node listed on the Permissions page.
