Map Rotation
Rotate the active arena in one arena mode through a pool instead of leaving it fixed on one
An extension of One Arena Mode. Instead of every kit being fought in one fixed arena forever, the active arena rotates through a pool you set, on a timer, with a warning countdown before each switch.
Off, one_arena.arena is exactly what it always was: one arena, fixed. On, that field is ignored completely and the pool decides everything, starting from its first entry on every server start. Nothing about the position in rotation is saved, so a restart always begins the pool over from the top.
Set it up
One arena mode has to be on first
Map rotation only exists inside one arena mode. See One Arena Mode if you have not set that up yet.
Build every arena in the pool
Each one needs its own spawn and corners, the same as any arena, and they can be completely different builds, that is the point.
/ffa arena create sword_arena
/ffa arena edit sword_arena corners 1
/ffa arena edit sword_arena corners 2
/ffa arena edit sword_arena spawn
/ffa arena regeneration sword_arena save
/ffa arena create pot_arena
/ffa arena edit pot_arena corners 1
/ffa arena edit pot_arena corners 2
/ffa arena edit pot_arena spawn
/ffa arena regeneration pot_arena saveList the pool
In config.yml, under one_arena.rotation:
one_arena:
rotation:
enabled: true
pool: [sword_arena, pot_arena]They rotate in this order, wrapping back to the first after the last.
Set how long one arena stays active
time:
number: 30
unit: minutesSet the warning countdown
warning:
chat_seconds: [30, 10, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1]
title_from: 5chat_seconds is which seconds-remaining get a chat line. title_from is from how many seconds remaining every single second also gets a title, a subtitle and a sound, not only the ones listed in chat_seconds. 0 turns the title off entirely.
How it behaves
- The countdown only warns players actually in the active arena. Nobody else on the server sees it.
- At zero, everyone still inside is sent to the lobby, told the arena is being generated, and the arena they just left is regenerated right away so it is clean for its next turn.
- The arena taking over is not re-pasted. It was already cleaned the last time it was left, so there is nothing to wait on, the switch is instant.
/ffa join <arena>still works mid-rotation, same as any one arena mode join: it sends the player into whichever arena is currently active with the kit they picked last.- A typo is reported at start. If
one_arena.rotation.poolis empty, or names an arena that does not exist, the console says so on start and on every/ffa reload. - The pool can be reloaded live. Editing the pool or the timing and running
/ffa reloadre-arms the timer with the new settings without resetting which arena is currently active.

Common questions
Yes, but then nothing ever changes, since it rotates back to the same one every time. Rotation is built for two or more.
No differently than leaving any arena normally does. The kit is handed out fresh on the next join either way, see the common questions on One Arena Mode.
No. The pool always starts over from its first entry on start, by design, so a restart never leaves rotation in a position nobody can predict.
Yes, and they usually should. A second that is in both gets the chat line and the title and the sound, all at once.
