Installation
Requirements, setup steps and first run.
TODO: pricing and marketplace links are not decided yet. Until that is settled, treat RegenZones as free and drop the jar in like any other plugin.
Requirements
| Server software | Spigot or Paper |
| Minecraft version | 1.21.x or 26.x |
| Java | 21 or newer |
| Dependencies | None required |
| Optional | WorldEdit or FastAsyncWorldEdit, for reading your selection instead of the wand; ItemsAdder, for custom block regen |
Install it
Stop the server
Shut it down fully before adding the jar.
Drop in the jar
Move the RegenZones jar into your plugins/ folder.
Start the server
RegenZones creates its config files on first start and prints a line in the console confirming it enabled.
Give yourself a permission
By default every command needs op or regenzones.admin. If you are op you already
have everything.
First run
- Run
/rz wandto get the selection wand. - Left click a block to set position 1, right click a block to set position 2.
- Run
/rz create <name>to turn that selection into a region. - Run
/rz addblock <name> <material>to tell the region which blocks to handle. - Break the block. It should swap out and come back after its regen time.
Full detail on selecting and building rules lives on Selection and Regions and Block Rules.
Plugin folder layout
config.yml holds server-wide settings, regions.yml holds every region you create,
blocks.yml holds the shipped material groups and their default rules. See
Configuration for what each key does.
Optional integrations
WorldEdit and FastAsyncWorldEdit are soft dependencies. If either is installed, and a
player has no RegenZones selection but does have a WorldEdit cuboid selection,
RegenZones uses that selection instead. Nothing changes if neither is installed, the
wand and /rz pos1 / /rz pos2 work fully on their own.
ItemsAdder is also a soft dependency. If it is installed, a region rule can name one of its custom blocks directly instead of a vanilla material, see Block Rules. Nothing changes if it is not installed.
