Changelog
What shipped in each RegenZones release, newest first.
1.0.0-9
Asks from the round 8 test report, plus a developer API.
- New per-rule
harvest-only(/rz setharvestonly, also in the config GUI). Breaking a harvestable block then does nothing, it stays as it is and right-clicking is the only way to take it. Off by default, so a block can still be harvested and broken both - New per-rule
required-tool(/rz settool, also in the config GUI).IRON_PICKAXEmeans an iron pickaxe or better, anything less leaves the block alone. An exact item or an ItemsAdder item id works too - New developer API:
RegenHarvestEventfor right-click harvests andRegenZonesAPIfor pending and region lookups, see Developer API lang-versionis 7, so the new messages merge into existing files
1.0.0-8
Fix from the round 7 test report.
- Fixed holding left click on wheat or carrots breaking the same spot over and over. The
fresh placeholder of the crop just taken now ignores the rest of that dig, for everyone
including ops, and shows as empty to the player swinging, so the crosshair moves on and a
row can be swept in one pass. Comes back on their screen half a second after the swings
stop. New
protection.dig-guard,2sby default config-versionis 6, so the new key merges into existing files
1.0.0-7
Fix from the round 6 test report.
- Fixed right-clicking an ItemsAdder crop still giving nothing while breaking it does. New
per-rule
harvest-dropslist (/rz setharvestdrops, also in the config GUI) sets exactly what a harvest gives, vanilla items or ItemsAdder items, with an amount ormin-maxrange. With it set, the harvest no longer relies on ItemsAdder dropping anything lang-versionis 6, so the new messages merge into existing files
1.0.0-6
Fixes and asks from the round 5 test report.
- Fixed right-click harvest dropping nothing on an ItemsAdder crop that drops fine when broken. In Survival the right click now breaks the block for real, so ItemsAdder drops exactly what a left click does, loot table or break action alike, and collect and drop rules apply the same way. Adventure and Creative keep the loot table lookup
- Fixed "that block is locked" showing while breaking a row of crops quickly. Holding the
mouse swings again at the fresh placeholder of the crop just taken; that swing is still
refused but silent for
protection.deny-message-grace,2sby default - ItemsAdder ids in tab completion match on the part after the colon, come sorted so a crop's stages sit together, and offer the namespaces first when the pack has more ids than fit, instead of cutting ids off at random
/rz setharvest <name> all <on/off>sets harvest on every rule in a region at onceconfig-versionis 5 andlang-versionis 5, so the new key and messages merge into existing files
1.0.0-5
Fixes and asks from the round 4 test report.
- Fixed a crop placeholder growing to full size while still locked, which read as ripe
wheat refusing to break. Vanilla random ticks and bone meal still grew it even after
1.0.0-4 stopped the farm zone scheduler doing so.
protection.growth, on by default, stops crops, stems, sugar cane and cactus growing on or into a pending spot, bone meal working there, and a sapling placeholder turning into a tree - Fixed chat spam when holding the mouse on a locked block. "That block is locked"
messages now go to the action bar by default (
protection.deny-message:ACTION_BAR,CHATorNONE) and at most once perprotection.deny-message-cooldown,3sby default - Growth stages:
replace-withcan be a list, each block shown in turn for an equal share of the regen time before the real block returns./rz setreplaceand/rz addblocktake several values, the menu takes them space separated. Works with vanilla BlockData and ItemsAdder ids alike, and resumes at the right stage after a restart - Right-click harvest: a rule with
harvest: true(/rz setharvest <name> <block> <on/off>, or the rule screen in/rz menu) is taken with its drops on a right click and goes straight into its first stage. A vanilla crop only once fully grown; an ItemsAdder block's drops come from the pack's loot tables.defaults.harvestsets the default - Fixed a pending block restored before its storage insert returned being locked again for a tick and leaving its row behind
- Storage upgrades itself on first start: a
placed_atcolumn is added, and on MySQL the temporary block column is widened fromVARCHAR(64), which a long BlockData string already overflowed config-versionis 4 andlang-versionis 4, so the new keys and messages merge into existing files
1.0.0-4
Fixes and asks from the round 3 test report.
protection.strict-lock, on by default: nobody can break a pending placeholder or build on its spot, in any game mode, op andregenzones.bypassincluded. Only disabling the zone lifts it. The olderstrict-creative-lockstays as the narrower Creative-only option for whenstrict-lockis set back tofalseprotection.physics, on by default: a placeholder no longer pops off when its support goes or washes away under liquid, so aCARROTS[age=0]placeholder survives its farmland being broken/rz placed <name> [on/off]: a handled block a player places inside the region goes straight into its delay state, the placeholder appears and the real block arrives after the regen time. A planted carrot comes back fully grown. Any handled key, any block type- Fixed farm zone growth ticking pending crop placeholders, which made a harvested crop look ripe again while still locked and read as "the wheat will not break"
- Fixed inventory-collect never picking up an ItemsAdder custom block's loot, and handing
over the vanilla base block instead. ItemsAdder's own drops are now caught at the spot
and moved into the inventory; a
drops: falserule removes them the same way - Fixed ItemsAdder ids never showing on
/rz addblocktab completion with an empty prefix, the vanilla material list filled the cap first. Custom ids are listed first now config-versionis 3 andlang-versionis 3, so the new keys and messages merge into existing files
1.0.0-3
Fixes from the round 2 test report.
- Fixed every handled block vanishing with no placeholder and no regen on 1.0.0-2: the
Bukkit BlockData parser only takes lowercase namespaced ids, so
BEDROCK,AIRandCARROTS[age=0]all failed both in commands and at swap time. Values are normalized everywhere now, stored in regions.yml asminecraft:carrots[age=0], and a placeholder that still fails falls back to air instead of skipping the restore queue - Fixed
protection.strict-creative-lockand the other 1.0.0-2 config keys, plus the 1.0.0-2 messages, never merging into an existingconfig.ymlorlang/*.yml. Both files' version keys are bumped so the updater actually runs - A clearer message when a replace-with value is rejected, in all three languages
- Tab completion for ItemsAdder block ids on
/rz addblockand on the replace value ofaddblockandsetreplace /rz removeblock,/rz settimeand/rz setreplaceonly tab complete the blocks the region actually has a rule for- Surrounding quotes on a typed block key or replace value are ignored
1.0.0-2
Fixes and features from the round 1 test report.
- Fixed a crash in
/rz setreplacewhen given a non-block material;replace-withis now validated as a full BlockData string end to end, letting a rule use a state-bearing value likeCARROTS[age=0]as a regen-delay placeholder protection.strict-creative-lock, a stricter Creative mode lock that ignores the bypass permission and only lifts once the zone is disabled/rz collect <name> [on/off], sending drops straight to the breaking player's inventory instead of the ground/rz rename <name> <newname>- Farm zones (
/rz farmland <name> [on/off]): farmland immune to drying out and trampling, plus crops that grow on their own timer without light or water - Custom block regen through ItemsAdder, an optional soft dependency, a rule can name a
custom block's
namespace:iddirectly - More reliable WorldEdit/FAWE selection reading, with proper logging when it fails
/rz menu, an in-game config GUI with full command parity, built on the same validated operations every command uses
1.0.0-1
The initial release. The whole plugin, built and tested end to end.
- Selection wand plus
/rz pos1and/rz pos2, with a WorldEdit and FastAsyncWorldEdit fallback - Cuboid regions, per world, with priority based overlap resolution
- Block rules by material or by group (
group:ores,group:logs,group:crops,group:stone_types), plus a*wildcard with an exclusion list - Full block state capture and restore, not just the material
- Configurable regen time, replacement block, drops and experience, all per rule
- Batched restore scheduler (
blocks-per-tick) so a large region does not lag the server - Restart safe pending storage, SQLite by default, MySQL optional
- Optional chunk-load holdback, or a full restore on shutdown instead
- Protection against breaking, placing, pistons and explosions on a regenerating block, with a staff bypass
- Optional explosion, piston and mob griefing break sources, off by default
- Restore sound and particle effects
- Three shipped languages (English, French, Spanish), switchable, with support for a custom translation file
- Full tab completion and a dedicated permission node on every command
