Commands

Every player and admin command in AscendSMP, with the permission each one needs and what it does.

AscendSMP keeps its command surface small. Players mostly interact through the ability key: tap F (the offhand-swap key) to fire your primary, or hold sneak and tap F for your secondary. The commands below cover the menu, a keyless fallback for casting, the HUD toggle, and the full admin toolkit. Every command and subcommand is tab-completed in game.

See Abilities for how activation, passives, and cooldowns work.

Player commands

CommandPermissionWhat it does
/sparkgui (aliases: /abilities, /amenu)ascend.useOpens the ability menu: your kills and deaths, your equipped secondary and primary with their perks, levels, and live cooldowns, plus the codex and unbind buttons. See Ability menu.
/spark <primary\|secondary> (alias: /ability)ascend.useActivates the chosen ability without using the key. A fallback for players who cannot use F.
/ascend hud toggleascend.useShows or hides your own action-bar HUD. See HUD.
⚠️
On Paper, the bare `/spark` command belongs to Paper's bundled profiler, not to AscendSMP. Use the `/ability` alias instead (or the fully qualified `/ascendsmp:spark`). On Spigot there is no clash and `/spark` works as written.

Admin commands

All of these live under /ascend, which also answers to the aliases /ascendsmp and /asmp. They require the ascend.admin permission (given to server operators by default; see Permissions).

Running /ascend with a wrong or missing subcommand prints the usage line in chat:

Arguments in square brackets are optional, and arguments in angle brackets are required. Tab completion fills in player names, ability ids, and subcommands as you type.
